A dear client of mine sent a question after watching a number of Bashar’s videos.
“What, exactly, is the oversoul?”
It’s a term Bashar uses a lot to refer to the source of our intuitive knowing, our excitement, and our spiritual realization.
Some religions and mystical teachers refer to it as the spirit, the higher being, the higher self. Some confuse it with the astral body, the ego, and the elusive “what else” beyond sense perception.
But… what is it?
The elusive oversoul is simply one more term used to describe the you of yous. Who you are beyond name, title, job, educational qualification, and body limitation. However, it isn’t separate from you. It’s not above you, or below you… it is you!
In the Vedic civilization, and still now, through Hindu scriptures called ‘sutras,’ techniques are given to unite the physical self with the oversoul. This is the sacred secret of Yoga, which means uniting. When all parts of the being- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual- are balanced, we attain full oversoul consciousness. We realize our infinite nature, even while inhabiting finite bodies.
The oversoul is not a guide to be summoned, nor a god to be prayed to. It’s not an unattainable ideal, or a made up new age term. The oversoul is the true self to seek, find, and be!
At the end of this vide, we do a beautiful meditation to unite the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self.
