Here in the state of Washington medical marijuana is legal for extreme diseases like HIV and cancer. Today there is a hearing taking place that will push to expand it for uses for bi-polar, anxiety and the like. I have used pot but have never been a daily sort of user. Regardless, I'm considering following Portland and opening a cafe in Seattle. I am prepared to resist the Federal nonsense.

I find it useful to smoke pot with an intention. Not getting stoned just to smoke but, to ponder something that you didn't really understand. My last stint lasted a month doing it everyday just about but my intent was to remember my first memories of being on this planet in hopes of awakening closer to a fuller conscious of being. It has worked. After cross referencing memories with my mother of places I seen, she would concur them and the feeling of being there opened up other memories. Remembering the feeling of being somewhere at a specific place and time has opened up a vast amount of stored memories. Ones from this life and many from others though, I can't prove the others to anyone but, if you know what it feels like to be there at that place and time, you had to have been there. Imagination doesn't have the feeling of being there at that time and space. Atleast not to me. I look forward to my next binge a year from now. As the author of this article states, when the effect changes, its time to rest it for awhile and get a new focus.

Simply tell the truth about all drugs and substances.

Pot is a plant and it seems to have some properties that might actually be very helpful to health in some cases.

There are pharmaceutical concoctions called medicines or drugs that are far more deadly and harmful than pot yet they are sold daily to many people who pay a very high price for chemicals that often kill them.

Perhaps these should not be legal or illegal.
If the truth and possible consequences are revealed and people understand the side affects just maybe they, the people, can make a decision based on what affects these drugs, chemicals and plants might have on them.

There have been some rumors that pot may have some healing properties for some of the major diseases that the drug companies are making lots of money off of.

The whole drug problem is made worse by locking up the users and not dealing with the corruption and mayhem that results from the illegal drug wars and consequent high prices on the black market and adulteration of street drugs with all sorts of toxic crap to make more illegal profits.
What is the solution? Some honesty and sanity might be a good start as well as locking up the corrupt politicians who benefit from the drug trade.
