aspartame is HORRIBLE! many years ago i used to drink artificially sweetened ice tea. after a few days i would start to slightly bleed — from my bladder. when i stopped drinking the tea, the slight bleeding would disappear. it was only after i ate something else that also contained aspartame that it suddenly dawned on me that it was the aspartame that was causing the bleeding.

and i have a hard time remember things. My daughter has had bad headaches from eating to much Raman noodles. She had to go to the hospital last year from it.
And it does seem i know more and more people with brain tumors.

I beg to differ. I was one of the scientists who worked at Searle Labs in Skokie Illinois where aspartame was discovered. Believe me over the years the product has undergone extensive scrutiny and has proven to be safe.

The U.S. patent on aspartame expired in 1992. Since then the company has faced hot competition in market for aspartame from other manufacturers, including Ajinomoto, Merisant and the Holland Sweetener Company, which stopped making the chemical in late 2006 because “global aspartame markets are facing structural oversupply, which has caused worldwide strong price erosion over the last 5 years” making the business “persistently unprofitable”

Your information is totally unsubstantiated and reckless, to say the least.

I wonder myself, now I’ve used it for 10 years in my tea and coffee and haven’t had any problems with it.

With respect Dale , i beg to differ .being a scientist for this company Dale , just does not sit right with me , ASPARTAME IS A POISON FULL STOP .My own research over many years has proven to me that we have to be very concerned about more than just aspartame .Stick with fresh food as much as possible , if you have children cut there sugar content down drastically use only unrefined sugars .Stay a way from artifical flavourings . Start Questioning your lifestyle ,how to you feel about yourself ,is a good start , we live on a prison planet ,open your eyes to the truth then follow your intuition , there is a way out of this mess we live in , waken up people time is now ,the truth is easy to find if you keep asking questions
Whe you tend to your garden you nuture it into a thing of beauty, you remove the weeds and let it flourish and mature.
Why do the so called leaders of this world let the weeds flourish ?????

Nestle deems its milk products safe
    From correspondents in Geneva
    September 22, 2008 03:40am
    Article from: Agence France-Presse

SWISS food giant Nestle said today it’s “confident” its products in China are safe, after media reports suggested its products were laced with a chemical that killed four babies in China.

“Following press reports in Hong Kong earlier today claiming that traces of melamine had been found in a Nestle growing-up milk, Nestle is confident that none of its products in China is made from milk adulterated with melamine,” the group said in a statement.

Media reports had claimed that Neslac Gold 1+ might be affected, Nestle said, but it pointed out that the Hong Kong government’s food safety department had declared that the product was safe.

The product was tested by the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre Ltd during September 18 to 20, as well as the Food Industry Research and Development in Taiwan on September 16, the group said.

“Neither test detected melamine in the product,” said the Swiss group.

In China, four babies have died and more than 6,000 have been made sick by milk powder contaminated with melamine, according to government statements

One of the most serious health scandals to tarnish Chinese-made goods, the melamine scare has spread from milk powder to regular milk, yoghurt and ice cream from some of China’s biggest dairy manufacturers.//

So,not just Coca-Cola or McDonalds…. Actually ALL food producing companies today are using chemicals and this is not story about boycott of products of just one or another company. The question is – HOW to stop the further producement of,let me say – these chemical weapons we are forced to use day by day? Of course – this is not a question of just one day or month, but one is clear – we must find the way HOW to stop this invisible global slaughtering!

Thousands more sick in Chinese tainted milk scandal
Updated Sun. Sep. 21 2008 10:45 PM ET

    CTV.ca News Staff

The number of children hospitalized after consuming tainted milk products in China has doubled to nearly 12,900, according to that country’s health authority.

In a statement posted on its website late Sunday, the Chinese Health Ministry said that the sick children had consumed milk made from tainted milk powder.

According to the statement, 12,892 children have been hospitalized, including 104 that were seriously ill and four babies have died after being fed melamine-laced baby formula.

Melamine has a high nitrogen content, which can make products appear high in protein. However, the chemical can cause kidney stones and kidney failure.

It is alleged that dairy company officials added melamine to watered-down products to make them appear higher in protein content.

Melamine was first found in baby formulas made by China’s largest dairy company, the Sanlu Group. On Friday, tests found melamine in products made by more of China’s leading dairy companies: Mengniu Dairy Group, Yili Industrial Group and Bright Dairy.

Tests have found the chemical in about 10 per cent of liquid milk samples from Mengniu and Yili.

Yili was an official Olympic sponsor, but the company has pledged the safety of foods supplied to the athlete’s village during the Beijing Games.

Im sure you guys heard of the Monsanto “GMO” milk case… but anyway.
One thing i found out recently.. by experience!!

If you look into the labels of any Asian supermarket and read the labels, 98% of the products there contain MSG, Aspartame, artificial flavorings, etc… All sauces, frozens, cakes, processed foods, drinks, etc..

Entire cultures “Chinese for instance” are growing up with this food culture which is completely adulterated.
This kind of foods is the true source of many well known diseases. And all this for pharmaceuticals to come full circle.

Look up for natural sources of sugar in foods. Specially fruits.
Choose eating seasonal organic food and support local organic farmers instead of supermarkets.
Or you can grow your own, buy & trade organic seeds.

    take care.

First of all – there are no guarantee that small farmers doesn’t use different chemicals as well while growing vegetables. The story is about competition, as you understand. The second – these products are twice as expencive as The SM products are. This is again metter of how much one coud spend for food per month… Average people are puted in situation without a lot of choices,as you know… And at the end – if all people will turn to so called ecological product producers, they will be forced growing more and more food and….definitely will use some chemicals for better results (I mean-quantity!)
    So…

Hello Ivar, i don’t know where you live, but there are associations where i live that assure that the products and farmers produce and seeds are indeed organic, checked and approved. In my case by “the soil association”.

There may be more options for you, than you imagine. Just go on and have a look and compare prices for yourself. If you live in the UK i can send you plenty of info and resources. Im sure there is such in the US also.

Personally I save money on everything, except from good food.
Its all a matter of principle.

    regards

This documentary was very enlightening and “on the mark”. I too had aspertame poisoning, and if it hadn’t been for a co-worker sending me information regarding this terrible product, I might still be sick or worse today. I was even being treated for fibromyalgia before going off this product. Today I am “fibromyalgia free”. The whole problem, as I see it, is greed on the part of these companies and many people involved. They are all “getting into bed with the Devil” and will one day have to answer to God for their misdeeds. I have also found, as did the one woman interviewed on the documentary, that when you try to warn/help people about this stuff they not only don’t want to hear it, they also deny their use of products containing aspertame. It is very frustrating indeed!

Good luck in getting the word out on this. If I can help I would love to get involved in any way I can.

The sad thing about the injection into the population of these harmful drugs is that the government full well knows these facts and looks the other way. Why? $$$ The FDA is paid off by big pharma. We can no longer believe this agency to be a reputable or trustworthy organization into whose hands we place our family’s health. Just because it says FDA approved, does not mean that the drug won’t harm you…there are countless drugs right now on the market that it approved which are in the process of killing people…vioxx, guardicil, lipitor… There are dark segments incorporated into our government who believe in population reduction and certainly in dumbing down the numbers so that they can continue to play their con-games, their thievery against the taxpayer and get away with it. Aspartame is POISON and the message from Dale up above is probably from one of those on the drug company’s payrolls set up to debunk claims against their atrocities.

I have started a group on facebook firstly to alert people to the danger and secondly because it could be a powerful message to food manufacturers because there will be faces to the names. Please join the group and recommend it to your friends.. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=147624019965&ref=nf

Many people think that leaders of the world should not let people who can’t write a coherent sentence, like you, post their thoughts online.
